Halliburton Protested Nationwide

Dallas activists joined in nationwide protests against corporate greed on February 24. For 2 1/2 hours, peace and justice activists endured a cold, soaking, rain while they held up banners for the passing traffic in front of a Halliburton Facility at Illinois and Westmoreland streets. Their signs and banners accused the company of complicity in the horrors that have befallen the Iraqi people and American military men and women.

According to protest leader Hadi Jawad, the nationwide protests had been coordinated by Global Exchange from San Francisco. The Dallas sponsors were North Texans for Justice and Peace and the Dallas Peace Center.
