Racial Profiling Studied

Juan Gomez attended a "Racial Profiling Town Hall Meeting" Saturday Feb 21 in Dallas. Sponsors were local LULAC and NAACP. The broad group was studying police abuse. One point that was made had to do with arrests on traffic misdemeanors. They pointed out that Latinos are marked "white" on the traffic tickets only for the purpose of misrepresenting the statistics.

Since Juan had a traffic ticket with him, he pulled it out and was interviewed by reporters. He confirmed the complaint. Gomez is President of UnitedVoices for Immigrants.
