On April 9 and 10, Texas joins the rest of the nation in activities opposing congressional proposals that would have the effect of splitting the working class and worsening everybody's wages and working conditions. In several Texas cities, unions are playing leading roles. In Dallas, major African-American political figures, including State Senator Royce West and several City Councilpersons, held a press conference and declared that everybody should join the Latinos in this effort!
The Dallas march organizers asked that no foreign flags be displayed, and they bought 14,000 American flags to give out! Dallas and several other cities have asked marchers to wear "white for peace."

During and after the march, participants should look for ways to form ongoing
groups and coalitions. Set other actions and meetings. This page will try to
help publicize. Millions of people are coming to the realization that this Administration
is turning more and more viciously against us. As much as we can, we need to
help new activists organize to be effective in withstanding the onslaught.
