In the 19th century, Karl Marx, arguably one of the great world geniuses of that or any other century, started a movement that ultimately came to define most of the twentieth century. And,  in spite of reverses and errors, that movement continues marching forward in the twenty-first century.

Marx, and his colleague, Fredrick Engels, were, of course the authors  of The Communist Manifesto and of innumerable other books, pamphlets and calls-to-action.

It was not until the 1917 October Revolution in Russia that the first lasting state was established based on the theories of Marx and Engels. Vladimir I. Lenin, the founder of the Soviet State, was also a theorist, writer, scholar and genius of world stature.

These leaders, and the millions who share their cause, yesterday and today, base their actions on a system of logic enunciated by Marx and Engels, and elaborated by Lenin. It is a logical system that "afflicts the comfortable, and comforts the afflicted." It has survived the attacks of generations of right-wing ideologues, bosses, hostile academics, red-baiters, and apologists for the powers-that-be. It is an analytical system that has influenced everything from quantum physics to postmodern deconstructionism. But most importantly, it has helped free the majority of the human race from colonial empires and feudal tyranny, and holds the promise of a better tomorrow for us all. .

Caution: Those who are responsible for the way things are now in this country and the world probably don't want you to understand this system of logic and action.

It is called...

 Dialectical Materialism

This is a brief, light-hearted introduction to that world-shaking system of analysis and action..
